Note: At the end of the following courses all students are eligible to receive their racing license if they meet requirements.
Practice licenses allow the holder to practice on any AKA approved track during designated practice times. There is no provision to practice in a race meeting. Practice licenses are valid for 12 months from the issue date. It is compulsory for all people wishing to get a practice license that they complete a safety lecture each time their license is renewed.
For practice licenses you will need to bring 2 passport sized photos and if you under the age of 18 a photocopy of your birth certificate. For renewals of a practice license you will need 1 passport six photo and also your current practice logbook.
Practice licenses can now be upgraded at anytime within the year, and the competition license will commence from the application date of the practice license. You will need to complete the observed drive if this has not previously been completed.
Please note the AKA and the NSW Department of Sport and Recreation now require all practice license holders to attend a safety lecture and complete a safety questionnaire before a practice license is issued.
